[20 secs read #creativity]
According to an article published in the Journal of Management (2013) thriving allows us to “gauge whether our [...] behavior is providing personal development in a positive direction (Spreitzer, Sutcliffe, Dutton, Sonenshein & Grant 2005). The authors tested the idea that employees enjoy a climate of involvement when they realize that this will contribute to their own personal development and make them more competitive in the market place. This in turn allows them to reach a stage of thriving, in which they become their most creative. It is therefore thriving that catalyzes innovation in companies.
